dusty attic contest winner

09.02.2010
By: Becky Fleck

Congratulations to Rebekah Brumby from the UK, winner of the Dusty Attic chippy contest! My friend Ellen judged this contest and just loved Rebekah's layout. When she emailed me her pick late last night, she said, "Check out this layout! Could it be more fun?? It's so quirky and cute and full of so much eye candy -- I just LOVE it!" I couldn't agree more. Travel themed papers and embies are all the rage right now and Rebekah did a great job featuring them on her page. Enjoy those Dusty Attic goodies!

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest. Despite all the shoe spamming on this post, I assure you that Ellen found each and every one of your entries.

Check back tomorrow for two new contests featuring American Crafts Dear Lizzy and Helmar Adhesives. These will be the last two contests on this blog, as I move it over to another location where the shoe spammers can't get to it. Man, have they been annoying or what???

See you tomorrow!

Vanessa GlassCongratulations to Vanessa Glass, winner of the Scrap Attack sketch contest. My friend Anna judged this contest and thought Vanessa's page was just fantastic! The rolled tubes of paper really caught her eye, and the swirled die-cuts added so much motion and energy to her page. And you can't go wrong with a super cute kid and a great summer themed page. Great job Vanessa and enjoy the goodies from Scrap Attack!

Just a reminder that the Dusty Attic contest is still ongoing through August 29th with a prize package of chippy goodness all the way from Australia. :) Another contest will start sometime next week with some Helmar goodies, too.

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest and a big thanks to Scrap Attack for their generous donation!

dusty attic chipboard contest **contest closed**

08.09.2010
By: Becky Fleck

Dusty AtticAhh, more scrappy goodness from down under, peeps! Dusty Attic was another manufacturer I discovered while in Australia that makes this insanely wonderful, thin, yummy chipboard. You really have to see this stuff in person to realize how incredible it is ... seriously, there's nothing quite like it here in the states.

Jennifer Hedger, the owner of and chief designer for Dusty Attic, has put together this wonderful prize package, including one of her popular shadow boxes. These little frame, shadow box thingies (such a great technical term, don't you think?) are so much fun to alter. ;) And YOU could be the lucky recipient of this prize.

To enter this contest, create a layout based on this sketch—any size, any orientation, any way you want to interpret it—using any products you would like. This contest starts today and ends at midnight (MST) Sunday, August 29, 2010. Add a comment with a link to your entry on this post. This contest is open to everyone, everywhere!

A big thanks to Jen for this wonderful prize. :) Good luck and have fun!

rw laser cuts winner

07.22.2010
By: Becky Fleck

katie saylorKudos to Katie Saylor, winner of the RW Laser Cuts chippie from Australia! My friend Vickie judged this contest and hands down, was the biggest whiner to date. "What do you mean you can't have two winners?" But alas, she did choose and I think Katie's page rocks! Vickie loved a hundred things about her page, but what really caught her eye were the pinwheels across the top that took the place of the little flag banner on the sketch. Could that be any ceeee-uter?? Of course, you can't go wrong with a darling photo and check out the paper tearing technique she employed around the edges of the pattern paper. Great job, Katie, and enjoy those Aussie goodies!

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest. I have more Aussie boo-tay to give away in the future. :) Our next contest starts this Friday so be sure to check back in !

Also, until my super-hero-geeky friend Nate can help me get a handle on the shoe and handbag spammers, I am closing comments on all posts, with the exception of contests. Besides, I seriously doubt a Hermes bag would look very good with my Berks, ya know? Sheesh. ;)
