Scrapbook & Cards Today is a beautiful, seasonally-inspired free publication that can be found in both Canadian and US independent scrapbook stores. Now this is what I call one nice boo-tay prize -- a brand, spankin' new Cricut die cut machine, generously donated by Kristin at A Cherry On Top! Since this is such a top notch prize (A $219.99 value!), this contest will be a bit different from the usual ones here on the PageMaps blog.
Create a layout based on the sketch to the left. Your page can be any size and any orientation, and you are welcome to interpret the sketch any way you'd like.
The theme of your page needs to be APPRECIATION, although the word does not have to be included in your title. It could be about someone you appreciate or something you are thankful for -- how you scrap it is entirely up to you! Your page DOES need to include journaling.
This contest starts today and ends at midnight (MST) on Sunday, March 28, 2010. To enter, add a comment with a link to your entry on this contest post by the deadline and you are set!
Because ACOT is authorized to sell Cricut machines in the United States, this contest is only open to US citizens.

Kudos to Suzanne Austin, winner of the Scrapdango sketch contest! My friend Lisa judged this contest and said, "The moment I saw Suzanne's page, I knew it was the one. It is so authentic, honest and humorous, and filled with many little tidbits and embies." It is a great layout and I really dig that Suzanne created a page about herself. Her kids will appreciate that so much when they are older. Suzanne, enjoy your boo-tay from Scrapdango!

You know that old saying, "When the cat's away, the mice will play?" While I'm gone this week visiting the outlaws, I thought I'd post a fun, little card contest. The prize is a nifty package of Sassafras goodness -- a 6x6 paper pad of their ceeeee-ute, new Nerdy Bird collection and other "sassy" stuff (stickers, flowers, etc). :)

Scrapdango is celebrating its 4th anniversary this month and PageMaps is joining in on the fun! Carrie Leavitt has generously donated this wonderful prize kit to the winner of the contest - look at all that loot! :) Be sure to stop by Scrapdango's site throughout the month of February, where they will be hosting a month-long "Crowned" contest, giving away weekly prizes and have guest design team spots up for grabs.
For this contest, create a layout based on this sketch—any size, any orientation, any way you want to interpret it, using any products you would like. Kudos to Kay Rogers and Cheryl Ashcraft, winners of the BasicGrey double header contest! Kay's paper layout really caught the eye of my friend Allie, who judged this contest. "I really dig how she flipped the sketch horizontally and the patterns she used are great. And can you believe how cute her kid is?!?" I couldn't agree more and I really liked how Kay broke up the photos by matting them on white. It really helps tame all the busy papers. Great job, Kay!
In digital, Allie loved the "romantic" feel of Cheryl Ashcraft's page. "The photos are wonderful and there is so much dimension. The camera is adorable!" Indeed, and I really liked how Cheryl played down the colors and kept everything muted and soft. Love your page, Cheryl!
Thank you to everyone who entered this contest. There's more BG goodness coming up in the future and we'll put some love out there for card makers soon. :)
