Scrapdango is celebrating its 4th anniversary this month and PageMaps is joining in on the fun! Carrie Leavitt has generously donated this wonderful prize kit to the winner of the contest - look at all that loot! :) Be sure to stop by Scrapdango's site throughout the month of February, where they will be hosting a month-long "Crowned" contest, giving away weekly prizes and have guest design team spots up for grabs.
For this contest, create a layout based on this sketch—any size, any orientation, any way you want to interpret it, using any products you would like. The sketch is 8.5x11 but you are welcome to convert it to 12x12. The theme is wide open. This contest starts today and ends at midnight (MST) Sunday, February 28, 2010.

Kudos to Kay Rogers and Cheryl Ashcraft, winners of the BasicGrey double header contest! Kay's paper layout really caught the eye of my friend Allie, who judged this contest. "I really dig how she flipped the sketch horizontally and the patterns she used are great. And can you believe how cute her kid is?!?" I couldn't agree more and I really liked how Kay broke up the photos by matting them on white. It really helps tame all the busy papers. Great job, Kay!
In digital, Allie loved the "romantic" feel of Cheryl Ashcraft's page. "The photos are wonderful and there is so much dimension. The camera is adorable!" Indeed, and I really liked how Cheryl played down the colors and kept everything muted and soft. Love your page, Cheryl!

Memory Makers Books is currently looking for layouts, which will be published in an upcoming idea book. This new gallery book will showcase fantastic layout ideas on all kinds of themes like family, holidays, special events, vacations and more. The new book will feature more than 500 layouts, so they’re looking for a variety of pages, highlighting all sort of styles, skill levels, colors, products, photos and techniques.
